My Topic is about Water Pollution.

The Issue interest me because people around the even animals drink polluted water and get sick. I want people to learn that water pollution is really bad because they can sick from that and the water may never be clean again.

This issue needs to be addressed because people are getting really sick because of water pollution.

What challenges do the penguins have to overcome?
some of the challenges the penguins had to overcome was keeping themselves warm. Another challenge was feeding themselves.



How does their habitat challenge their livelihood each day? Their habitat challenges their livelihood every day by keeping them so cold.

What types of adaptations do penguins need in order to survive brutal winters as well as predators? They need to adapt to the cold by having thick feathery coats.

Why is there a period of time in which there is practically no sunlight? What affect can no sunlight have on this region of Antarctica?
Because the winter is setting in, and it can colder their if their is no sunlight.
How could climate change negatively impact the mating ritual of the Emperor Penguin? Because the special place that they mate at can probably melt and then they wont have baby's anymore.

Any one can play this game you just need to think hard about the game.

"Danger of a single story"

1. What does it mean to have a 'single story' about a place or community? Its when you think about all the stereotype and judgment about the people in that community.
2. Describe a single story you have heard told about your community. What is missing from that story? How could people learn more about that community? A single story I heard about my community is that gang members live their and just about the whole community are Mexicans. Whats missing in the story is that all the people their are not gang members and its a friendly neighborhood to all kinds of people.

One single story I heard about another community is the one in the East side. I heard it from my crazy uncle. He told me allot of things  I really didn't  believe but in a way i did. What is cyberbully?
A cyberbully is a person who bully's you on a cell phone,computer or any other electronics.

The Lightning Theif

We were watching this movie called Percy Jackson and The Olympians: The Lightning Thief. Percy Jackson was a troubled dyslexia kid. They went to a museum and they saw ancient Greek stuff. That's when Mrs. Dodds turned into a ugly bat like thing. Percy's teacher Mr. Brunner help Percy. Then Percy and his friend Grover whent to Percys house. Grover is a satyr that protects Percy. So Percy's mom takes him to a camp called camp half blood. While they were going to the camp a minotaur was chasing them and captured Percy's mom. Mr.Brunner a Centaur told Percy that Zues thinks he stold the bolt from him and if he doesn't give it back by summer solstis there was going to be a war. So on the way to go to the under world to get Percys mom the wen't against Medusa, five headed monster, and the lotus hotel. When they went to the under world percy thrugh a shield that Like let him borrow and it busted and the lightning bolt was in the shield. Hadis the God of the under  world got it and his wife it him with the bolt and they escaped from there. Percy returned the bolt in time before the war started.

The best team in the world is Cruz Azul. If you don't go for Cruz Azul then fine but i'm just letting you know who the best soccer team is.  They have won 8 Primer Division Copas, 5 CONCACAF champions league, Copa Libertadores: Runner ups, Copa Interamericana:Runners-Up, Copa Pachuca: 5 (record)

Apollo 13

We are watching a movie called Apollo 13. It was about three men flying up to the moon, (Jim Lovell, Jack Swigert, Fred Haise) When they went up into the sky it was going great but when they were half way to the moon they had an explosion in the air tank and they were loosing air fast.The people in Houston,TX were coming up with ideas about how to stop the air from leaking out. So the people in Houston,TX said they had to go to the Command module. That space ship could carry two people not three. So when they were coming down to Earth the space ship was on fire until it came down to the ocean.

      

                                        

The Lightning Thief

We are reading a book called The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan. Their is a troubled kid with dyslexia called Percy Jackson. He goes to the school Yancy academy, which is a school with troubled youth. He goes to a field trip in Manhatten to visit a museum. A girl, Nancy was bullying Percy's friend Grover by throwing peices of bread at him. Then when they were at the museum Percy got in trouble for pushing Nancy into small pond. So his teacher told him to come with her and then we stop reading.

My Field Trip

For one of our field trip we went to South Padre Island. We went when we were in 3 grade. The island wasn't that big. We stayed for 3 days and 4 nights.  For the two first days it was boring because there was a storm and we couldn't go outside. But that night  was fun because all my friends ran away from our rooms and wen't to the resturant inside and ate all night. We never got caught, that was the good part about that. We wen't to the beach the next day. then we left the island on this long brige.

Cruz Azul!!!!!

Cruz azul is the best team in La Liga Mexicana (Mexican league). Even though they lost they are going to win the championship next season. Their last game they went againts was Morelia. They were in the semi finals. The first game was in estadio azul, Cruz azul won 2-0. Then they wen't to the soccer stadium of Morelia. Morelia won 3-0. At the end of the game the whole teams were fighting.

I really liked my team! I got along with Iliana and Estefanie really well. We all had different ideas but we worked on one main topic. I'm really proud of my self because I learned how to work on flash. Also I learned how to do codes in the actions layer. We had one game topic, water pollution. We chose that one because of the turtles that are dying because of the pollution.

Osama Bin Laden

Yesterday on the news Obama was talking about something, but I really didn't care until I saw big red letters that said that Osama Bin Laden DIED, finally!!!!. He was the leader of the Al Qaeda, oh scratch that the ex leader of  Al Qaeda ( no offense) I wonder what U.S is going to do now?

Stand and Deliver

Stand and Delivercwas about a class in Garfield High School in Los Angeles, California with a new teacher named Jaime Escalante. Origanly he was suppost to teach on the computers but the school didn't have any computers so he taught math instead. All the kids had no interrest in learning but he made it a little bit more interresting so the students paid attention to him. the students took the AP calculus test and they got the same answers so they taught they cheated. So they took the test again and they all past with defferint scores. Jaime made a difference because over the years he had more students passing.

The Big Test

I'm sort of excited about the TAKS but I think i'm not going to pass it. I wan't to get it over with all ready. After TAKS i'm going to just watch TV all day. I think TAKS is a waste of time because any randome lazy kid would gess on almost all of them and pass the TAKS. Soi thats what I think about TAKS.

Ipads For Kids

I think having a Ipad is great for little kids because they might not pay attention in class with a five hundred page book in front of their desk. I wouldn't really pay attention to a teacher reading all day. Also if all the schools had a Ipad they would cut less trees in the world. Also if they lose their book they wouldn't learn any thing in class that day. But the Ipad is in the class room with all the class subject. A disadvanteg is that they would get addected to the Ipad and wouldn't listen to the teacher.

Game Demo Progress

What I been doing was the demo. I'm trying to do animation on my title screen. I'm going to put bubbles go up. I'm proud of what I accomplished . I accomplished doing my demo.

Intro screen: Eat, Turtle, Eat!

Team Introduction: Give the names and roles of all team members (no last names) Estefanie, Iliana, and me.Estefani and Iliana do the game screens and I do the buttons. Sometimes i do the game screen.

Audience: We are designing the game for kids in 6th grade.

Gameplay: The player is a turtle, he as to avoid falling down trash mean while he as to get the jelly fish to earn points. If you get hit you lose a life. You have to get all the jelly fish under 1 minute and 30 seconds.

Learning Goal: The player will learn that water pollution is really bad for us and the animals like the turltle. 

Fun Factor: What makes our game fun is that you get to learn about pollution and be a turtle in the game

Smart Factor: Our game teacheas water pollution by avoiding the trash thats coming down.

Style Factor:  Our turtle moves foward, backwards, left,  and right.

Originality Factor: What makes your game special and unique? Why will it sell? What makes our game unique is that its fun and educational.

Game Ideas

I was playing on cool math. There was a game called civil balls 2. In the game it kept track of your score. I'm trying to learn how to do that. Then there was this game called primate pile up that I played and you had to pile up. It was sort of like drag and drop, I'm trying to do that to.

Game Progress Refliction

What I learned to do in flash was that I know how to make buttons, make stuff move right, left, up and down. I did a drawing that had a jelly fish, trash, and a turtle. The biggest challenge for this week was drag and drop. I'm proud of what I've done because I did my best work. Drag and drop has been frustrated because we are still trying to do it.

President Obama

TechBoston sounds like a really smart school by the way the percent kids pass the test. I think President Obama should come to this school because this school is mainly focused on getting you to pass the Task test. Obama should come and visit the school and the cool teachers and students. This school is really good for preparing kids to go to college.

Blogging About Blogging

What I would do is I would go on a strike with a couple of people outside the building. If i got suspended I would have got a lot of peoples signatures to have a big meting about bringing blogger back. A reason why blogging is good is that it can help you on your spelling and stuff like that. A disadvantage is you will probably get bord doing blogger non-stop. I'm not saying blogging is boring I just mean when you are out of ideas to write about it's kinda write in blogger.

The Blind Side

We watched the Blind Side on Wednesday and on Thursday. It started of with review of the Redskins vs Titans. The Redskins were doing a play called the flee flicker. When the QB got the ball  they tackled  him from the back and at the same time from the front. He twisted his leg.  Michael's friend took Michael to a rich private school. He told the coach that Michael was good at any sports but the coach didn't really beleive him. Until Micheal was playing basketball with his friend. The coach tried to convince the other teachers to let him in the school. I only saw the end I didn't see the middle. At the end he gets a scholarship. They ask him if he does want to go Ole Miss. The lady ask'ing those questions told him that Leigh Ann Tuchy wanted him to go to Ole Miss since the beggining. At the very end he does go to Ole Miss.

Free Choice

Today Diary Of A Wimpy Kid comes out and i'm going to see it. On Saturday i'm going to the carnival. On sunday I'm going to sleep.

The school is called  Lebronx Center For Science and Mathamatics. Edward Tom was the principal and was the first year he was the principal. Sharifea was a student their. She didn't pass her classes so she couldn't do the regen test. She wen't back to her old school and pass the regen test and was going to go to college.

B-cubed was a good game. It was really hard at level 14 it was really hard.

The Wizard

At the beginning Jimmy ran away from his home to go to California. The parent of Jimmy are thinking about keeping him in a home. Cory, Jimmys hafe brother goes and rescues him and goes to the rode to California. Jimmys mom made a deal with some one to bring Jimmy back. Cory and Jimmy wen't to a gas station to get a bus ticket but they only had 27 dollars. The gas station had a arcade and Jimmy played it and got 50,000 points. Their was a girl that made a bet with them, if Cory wins she gives them her bus ticket but if they lost they would give her their money. After that they made a deal,she takes them to California and when Jimmy wins the contest they split the money 50/50. Along the way they meet this boy named Lucas who is really good at games. Jimmys dad is after him and doesn't know were he his going until he meets Lucas and he tells him. The person who got sent by the mom has Jimmy and  Haly screams that the man touched her breast. The man got Jimmy back but Haly sent Spanky,a trucker and some other truckers to get Jimmy back. Jimmy is in the contest and he his in the finals. Now he his in the final three. He his playing Super Mario Bro. 3. Jimmy wins the competetion.

Spring Break!!!!!!!

What I'm going to do is go to Austin Rodeo today with my friends and we gonna have FUN their. On Saturday my family is going to go to Corpus Christi, TX. We are going to stay their for 6 days. When we come back i'm going to sleep. Can't wait to go!!!!

WHY CANT WE GO OUTSIDE?

We should go outside because we really worked hard on our games and we disirve a break. IT'S NOT FAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! UUURRRRR. I'M SO MAD!!! Just when we were about to play Ms.Valdes comes  and said to go inside. We REALLY disirve to go outside and play.

Future

I'm going to be in UT in Austin, TX . I'm going to be a car engineer because I am good at fixing cars and because my dad thought me how to fix cars. If that doesn't work out i'm going to be a wide reciever for The Chicago Bears. I'm going to wear the number 27 because that was the day my brother was born. I'm going to see what i'm going to be in the future.

Paper Prototype Refliction

I think making the paper prototype was kinda easy but we had some difficulties doing the prototype game. We had some ideas about the game and how it was going to work and stuff like that. The prototype has helped us plan the game because we didn't really know what to do until we did the prototype. Now we are doing the game in flash. I am doing the navagation buttons which is really hard  but I will get it.

My Weekend

Today I am going to watch Rango. I am going to take my little brother with me. On Saturday I am going to this field trip in UT.  On Sunday I'm going to sleep all DAY!!!!!!!

Malcolm went to the police department because the police hit brother Johnson. Out side there was allot of people screaming and when Malcolm came they all staid quiet. Malcolm started to find out were Muhammad's kids were. Muhammad as 4 kids in total from 2 women. One woman has 3 kids and the other has 1 child. The Muslim people were getting jeolus.
Malcolm was talking about how a white person killed another white (no races) and he was making fun about that. Muhammad talked with Malcolm about what he said and banned him  for 90 days from talking with the press. Malcolm landed in Egypt and went to Araibia. He met allot of Muslims their. When he went back to united states one of the muslims told Malcolm that they told him to wire his car for when he turned it on it will explode. Malcom did a speach and thay shot him.

2. How did the ideas you discussed in "Imagining Your Game" come together to help your team decide on a game topic? We had allot of ammaizing ideas but we sticked with one main idea.

All of our team mates are friends so we worked together fine we had no problems.
their is no role we are all friends and we have no problem.
4. What kind of research did you do to find information to express the game topic? Examples: books, films, web searches....etc. On the web search I found out that chemicals go to the rivers and oceans and effect the animal and us. I found allot of information about water pollution.

5. Explain the game play. What does the player have to do? The player as to avoid the trash that is falling down and trying to get a jelly fish.

6. Has this changed since you first started planning your game?How?yes because now its in the ocean instead of the land.
